Another one of Life’s Lessons
Just had a long conversation with a neighbor of mine’s that is a Senior citizen. I was supposed to shoot some portraits of her. We ended up talking the whole time instead. We spoke about the loss of her son, and life in general. It was a sad, and uplifting experience at the same time. I hoped that made sense, at least a little. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, “Sometimes it’s not about pictures”. When you make a connection with another person, you both benefit. This person needed to vent, and I feel God put me there for that reason, under the guise of taking a portrait. Neither one of us walked away with a picture, but I believe we both walked away feeling better on an emotional and spiritual level. If God want’s to use me this way from time to time, I’m all for it. Happy Holidays to all.
