It’s been a while since I have written a post, but I have been very busy lately. I am currently in the process of studio shopping. It is tough,
I will say that. You see, a studio for me would have to double as a living space, and that’s not easy to find these days, unless you have an arm and a leg you don’t need. The portrait above is of my cousin, who is also a great musician in Atlanta, Jeremy.
I have been shooting a lot of personal work. I absolutely love shooting personal work, as I have stated before. I have a strong connection to it. Can’t give it away yet though.
I recently received my Paul C. Buff Einstein 640, and a new Vagabond Mini Lithium. One word, Awesome! The portability of the VML, or, (Vagabond Mini Lithium) is crazy. I’ve taken it out just once, and just from this single use, I was thoroughly impressed. I’m not going to get into a review because I need to spend some more time using it, and the Einstein. I’ll give an in depth review soon though. One thing I will say is, that they are both worth owning. The VML is a game changer to say the least.
Last but not least, I am actually considering taking a huge break from the internet. Just to do some vision/soul searching, photographically. Sometimes I feel like my work is being influenced by others and that is not what I want for myself or my work. I have a voice and a vision, and I want that shown in my images. My feeling is, that unless I feel it’s my work when I look at an image, than it’s not all of me in my work. I have to have that feeling. I won’t be totally cutting myself off from the internet, but I will not be looking at peoples work. I’ll still blog, and post to Twitter and Facebook, but thats it. What ever I choose, please wish me luck.
